#blessed

Hello everyone!

I just wanna start by saying how grateful I am for all of you. As I've done the give thanks challenge I have noticed the things I truly am grateful for! I loved President Nelson's message on Friday!

It was another slow week with not too much going on. We got like 3 referrals but they were all people in different missions so that's that. One of them was in Ghana so we tried to find missionaries there but it is kind of tough.

We have transfers next week and I think I'll probably be leaving but you never know. I would love to stay in the area but we don't always get what we want. I'm going to make sure I soak in these next few weeks with the members just in case I do get transferred!

Just because there wasn't much, I'll finish off with some of my personal study thoughts. The first thing I enjoyed studying this week was the New Testament. I just finished John and I loved reading about the Saviors ministry. To read about His life really makes me grateful for all he has done for me. I also read about the Anti-Nephi-Lehies and this is my favorite story in the Book of Mormon. Reading about how they didn't just believe, but they were converted really made me think about how I can become more converted! For all of you who haven't been converted, I challenge you to read this story and try to become converted into the Lord!

Love you all!

Bautismo

Hello everyone!

Sorry I didn't email last week, we had a busy day and honestly there wasn't much to talk about anyways. This week was good though.

We had a baptism! It's my first one in the states so I'm pretty happy about it! Her name is Beni and she is an older lady who lives in a retirement home. She is awesome. The spirit was so strong at the baptism. While they were changing after the ordinance, I was able to teach the Restoration and the spirit was amazing. I could barely make it through quoting the first vision without crying haha. If you know me well enough, you know crying isn't a thing I do often. That's when you know this was special.

We got a referral from a member whose daughter in law has been reading the Book of Mormon with the family and we are teaching her tomorrow. Hopefully we can get her on date this week.

There really isn't too much going on in my life so I'll end with saying how grateful I am for the Book of Mormon. I say this like every week but it truly is the best book and I love it!

Love you all

The Church is True!

Hello everyone!

Before I start off, I wanna remind everyone 4 years ago today, the Cubs won the World Series. Definitely the best day ever.

But now to the mission, it was an fun week. We met with a guy who was pretty anti and honestly I thought it was hilarious. He tried to argue the whole time and I just laughed and tried to show love. It made me think about how grateful I am to be a member of the church. I didn't really feel the spirit during that lesson and it's because the spirit of contention isn't of the Lord. I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon to help me feel the peace I want to feel.

Nothing else really happened except we got a pretty solid referral from a member. It's an old lady named Beni and apparently she is ready to be baptized! We are meeting with her on Tuesday and I'm so pumped.

Since this is a short email I'm gonna end with my testimony of how grateful I am for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I set the goal to read the New Testament before the transfer ends and I was studying in Matthew towards the end when it talks about Christ in Gethsemane. I am so grateful for Him. Without that moment in history we'd all be lost. The church is so true everyone!

Love you all!
