Where do I even start? I love it here! When I got in on Tuesday it was a little overwhelming because all I heard was Spanish. The instructions were in Spanish and everyone kept saying "bienvenidos" (welcome). Not gonna lie I hated the first night and a little bit of the first day, but now I love it here!
My companion is Elder McMaster! He is from Midway and went to Wasatch! This dude may be one of the funniest guys I have ever met! We get along great and have already become great friends! My two other roommates are Elder Burr and Elder Beus! Elder Burr went to Timpanogos with me so we were pretty good friends before and Elder Beus is from Spanish Fork! These last 4 days I have never laughed so hard!
I am in district 12E and I love my district! Usually people say there are a couple of people in your district that annoy you but I don´t have that! We are always laughing and having a great time together!
The food here is lowkey the worst but food is food so its all good. The fruit is bomb though let me tell ya that!
Honestly the hardest thing so far is typing on these stupid Mexican keyboards haha. I thought waking up would be hard but compared to early morning workouts this is nothing! The language is for sure the hardest part! We have so much to memorize and the grammar is pretty tricky but I´ll figure it out sooner or later. My teacher in the morning is Hermana Lopez and my teacher in the afternoon is Hermana Hernandez! I love them! They are the sweetest people! They both speak really good English so I don´t struggle too much!
Also I memorized the First Vision in Spanish! It takes me a good 2 minutes to say it but at least I know the words haha. One thing I have learned this week is to stay positive! It is so easy to get negative. I have learned to trust the Lord and know that as long as I´m doing my part, He will do his.
A scripture I really liked this week is Moroni 7:33. "And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have the power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me."
Love you all!
